Work Hard -- Party Harder

No shows this weekend, so I helped out cleaning up the TAG practice field.


Tonight we went to a doggy birthday party. Boys are bushed. Aki's mom, Ritzy, is moving to Hawaii for two years to go to graduate school. We all wish her good luck in her studies!

Weiners Take Houston

It was dachshund mania at the Reliant Dog show this week. Shane and I didn't go as I don't feel he's ready for that kind of environment. We've also never run on carpet over concrete. I went two years ago with Jake and Woody and had an absolute blast. Just the best dog show ever.

Dogs Are Not Elephants

Shane's Aunt Karen visited this weekend. Karen drove with me to Colorado Springs to pick up Shane and he thought she was his new mom, initially.
Tell me you aren't leaving me with that brunette? The blonde is my mom. Right?

Well, two years later, and Shane didn't remember Karen at all. He was spooked all weekend and finally started coming around Monday morning, right before she left.

Sunday, Bella and her parents came over to watch the Turkey Grand Prix and play agility a little bit. All had a great time. Forgot to take pictures. Would have loved a video of Shane attacking the tunnel as Bella ran through.

Managing Woody's liver issues and decided to feed 4 small meals each day. That lasted about 2 days and now we are back to our old schedule. Read that you should feed a low protein diet, so I added some green beans to his diet, like Shane's been eating. Hated the green beans, but he loves the carrots and peas mix. Must be the size of the items. Woody seems as feisty as ever, so I'm not too worried. Just keeping an eye on him for now.

We train at DePaw Agility with Heidi and Bella. Shane and Bella have become good pals.


Shane and Bella are fixated on getting more salmon at class. I'm a popular person there. Always have steak in my pocket.
