The first run of the day was Open Fast. I debated trying to get Maggie over the teeter vs. getting a Q. There really wasn't any smooth way to get through the course without doing the teeter, so I decided to go for it. Zooming out of the tunnel, we head for the teeter and over she goes. I screamed and we went on and got a Q. Maggie got a ton of liver pate.
Open Jumpers was next. We have that title, but I don't want to progress too quickly. Have to do offside weaves, which she hasn't been doing well, so we give it a go and she nails it. She is pokey, but we manage 2nd place. Very long wait until Nov STD. We start out strong, and she heads toward the teeter and runs past. Not sure if I caused it, but we swing around and try again and she does it. First STD Q and 3rd place. What a great day.

It was hard to let go of my dream with Shane, but I think I've finally come to terms that he will never be the champion I envisioned. We are still going to class and I'll enter him in NADAC once in a while. I know what it's like to love doing something and not being very good at it, so I know what he might be feeling. He does love it so.
