Agility and F1

Got sucked into watching F1 practice at Silverstone this morning. Reminded me of what Guy Blancke told me at my private Tuesday night. I didn't think Shane was ready for a private lesson, but my friend convinced me to go. Fifty dollars to run a figure 8 three times, but it was fun. Picture a very European-attired gentleman, sitting on the table obstacle, waving a cigarette in the air, and yelling commands with a heavy Belgium-French accent. It was surreal. Good tips though.

Anyway, Guy happened to mention a dog's path was similar to car racing, but not that oval track stuff. More like F1. Wow! I told him that we were into F1, and then he told me that the middle jump was like driving a chicane. Double Wow! Frank has offered to teach me about corners, curves, and chicanes. I thought that linking agility to F1 would get Frank interested in agility, but no luck. The British Grand Prix is Sunday, and I will be watching the cars in an entirely different way now.
