A friend gave me a flyer to a distance seminar and, in a moment of insanity, I enrolled. The night before the seminar I had serious doubts. Maggie will not be able to do this stuff nor will she last the entire day. I had planned on leaving Shane at home, but I worried that I would not have a dog to run in the afternoon.
Sunday morning I grabbed Maggie and we headed for the seminar. She seemed a bit worried when we first arrived. Lots of new smells and lots of places for critters to hide. I had trouble keeping Maggie engaged as she kept running off after something in the weeds. The magic cheesestick saved me a few times. The final exercise was sending her over a few jumps while I stood still. She actually did it, which amazed me to no end.
I had such doubts and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. Beautiful day to be outside working with your best bud.
