Spring Cleaning

Taking a break from trialing to spruce up the house and landscaping. Planning to go to the NADAC show over the 4th, but even that is iffy. We are working on speeding up Maggie in the weaves. Shane is jumping better and better. He is down to 21.5 pounds and the vet says we could go as low as 19. I can't believe I let him get as fat as he did. It's hard to see under all that hair.

Maggie is getting more and more confident. Today we started our summer walking schedule. In the winter, I can walk both of them together since we can walk later in the day when all the other dogs are off the streets. When Maggie is with Shane, she is very confident and reacts to other dogs. Last summer, we struggled even getting her to walk down the street. Today, we walked alone and Maggie was perfect. She rarely sniffed, except to read her p-mail and we managed to get by a dog with no reaction. It's so rewarding to see a shy dog blossom.

Purchased a miracle - Dazzer II. No more yelling. One press and all dogs come running. Shane shuts up if I even reach for it and I've been hiding it from him when I use it. I have one more trick up my sleeve, but I will wait to blog until I give it a try.

Finally, Shane's uncle Sizzle made the World Team again. I whined a little bit about the gene-pool lottery, but Frank, in his infinite wisdom, said, "A family can have only one Michael Jackson. Someone has to be Tito."
