Worth a Try

Finally an outdoor show in Central Texas. Back in Phoenix all the shows were outdoors and I had forgotten how relaxing it was to sit out in the fresh air watching dogs run. I was hoping for bright sun to see if Shane jumped any better. We had sun on Friday and he did jump better, but I managed to screw up. Saturday and Sunday were cloudy, so he was the same.

Tough decision to make, but I decided to just run him in NADAC where there are classes with no jumps. In a few years he'll be able to jump 8 inches and if he isn't blind by then, we may give it a try.

Now for Maggie! We had a bit of trouble because of all the distractions, but she managed to do the teeter all three days. Major accomplishment! She also earned her Starters Pairs title - I think she thinks the baton is a giant cheese stick. I don't think I will continue with USDAA with her for a while. We'll stick to AKC until she gets a little older and more confident. Two runs a day and we go home. I think she will like that.
