Headed up to Waco this weekend for our final NADAC trial of the year. Maggie got 1st and Q in Novice Hoopers Friday night. Shane got 1st and Q in Open Tunnels on Saturday and Sunday. His biggest accomplishment though was a 1st and Q in Jumpers. That run was magical. We were in sync the entire run. I think I'm finally understanding where I need to be to help him over the jumps. He likes me with him or behind him, but not in front of him.
So those were the high points.
Maggie is still exhibiting a lot of stress in the ring and after the last run of the weekend, Shane took off towards the dog at the start line. I got him to turn around, but the judge was not happy. I think it's time to take a break again. Cancelled the shows for the rest of the year and we are just going to work on things. We may try again in the spring.
