Maggie the Hooper

A two day agility trial with no jumping. My dream. We went to College Station this past weekend for a NADAC Games trial. I swear Shane could do tunnels and weaves all day without stopping.

Shane achieved his Novice Superior Tunnels and Weavers titles and his Outstanding Novice Hoopers title. So now I have to move up to open in tunnels and weaves. He didn't do very well with his contacts, but thanks to Deb, we are working on a new start line technique. We had a little setback Sunday afternoon with Shane's behavior. My trainer told me that he was probably tired, which makes sense. Now that it's fall, we won't be traveling as much, so perhaps staying at home overnight will help lower Shane's stress level. I was pretty grumpy at the motel 6 and that didn't help for a calm evening. It's the Hilton or bust from now on.

Maggie was pokey all weekend, but did manage two 2nd place Q's in Hoopers, which completed her Novice Hoopers title. I've got two weeks to get her ready for the next show. We are still getting stuck on obstacles.
