Small Steps

Shane and I got up before dawn Sunday to drive to College Station and try our hand at a USDAA trial. That is one long lonely trip in the dark on a Sunday morning. We did not Q all day, but we had a few great moments. At the end of our Standard run, Shane turned to me over the last jump and just stood there while I put on his leash. It was such a fantastic moment for us. We also had a few trips around the arena without any reactivity. Before we left for home, Shane got a massage and it was so nice to see him relax in such a noisy environment. He missed contacts and knocked bars all weekend, but we had a great time.
