My Fair Lady

Another movie from my childhood that I just loved. Turning a woman from the streets into a polished lady. Our Miss Maggie, found on the street, is also becoming more like a fair lady, only without the soundtrack.

When I picked Maggie up from grooming last week, the groomer said it was the first time Maggie stood proudly on the table instead of leaning into the groomer's chest. "What are you doing differently?" I can attribute it to her obedience classes, so I shared the story at class last week and you would have thought we discovered the polio vaccine. The instructor made me repeat the story for everyone who stopped by.

I am learning so many tricks to use on Maggie and it's fun because she takes treats so gently. I realize now that a lot of Shane's behaviors are due to my throwing his treats because he bites me. I now wear a glove and give him treats the correct way. I'm noticing a difference in him.

I have been using Touch to keep Maggie's interest in me while we wait in line at agility class. She is not sniffing as much and we actually had a great walk today! It's such a joy to watch your dog get confidence.
