We started Agility training again Monday night. She threw up one block from our house, so I wasn't optimistic. Stopped along the road and gave her some Rescue Remedy. At class, a big dog lunged at her while we were waiting, but she seemed to be OK. When class started, she was back to her sniffing while we waited in line, but the Touch game really helped. She freaked out when I had to hand her leash over to the trainer, which didn't help with her stress. I hope we make it through the class. I'd hate to reboot for a third time.
I got a lot of comments on how cute Maggie is. Get the same about Shane. What a beautiful Sheltie. If only they knew the hell that was my life. I told the obedience instructor about my struggles with Maggie's sniffing and how I had to play Find It during our entire walk to get her to move and all she had to say was, "Isn't that interesting." Thanks. Next week we are doing something on the agility field, so maybe she'll get to see Maggie's sniffing.
I think part of my problem is that I've sought out so much help and everyone tells me to do something different. "Oh you are doing that wrong. Do this." Funny is that the main thing I keep reading is to be consistent. Three years of inconsistency with Shane. No wonder he's a mess. No wonder I'm a mess. Three years of people telling you that you suck takes its toll.
