Exhaustion Sets In

Some people have kids in the National Honor Society and some have kids in Juvenile Detention. Some people have kids that can sit and read a book, while others have kids that run around the house breaking everything in their path. I no longer look down in disdain at parents who cannot control their kids in public. I so know what they are going through.

It's exhausting to have to deal with a reactive dog. Watching their every move to catch the look and give a reward. I can't look people in the eye. I can't gaze up at the trees and enjoy a sunny day. I can't take my eye off my dog for one second. I cannot relax and enjoy the moment. I cannot let up.

Most people have a goal to qualify in their runs at shows. My goal is to not get thrown out of the show. I hope someday I'll be able to enjoy agility again. Right now it's just work. A lot of work.
