Saturday I went to Triple Crown to work at our agility club's fun run. I took Shane along even though I refuse to show there because the floor is dangerously slippery. Jake and Woody did OK there since they were already pretty slow, but that floor made them even slower. I decided to work on Shane's reactivity and his contacts. We did the table, dog walk, teeter, and Aframe. Worked on his start line as well. We jumped 8" and 12" for that first jump. I knew we would have trouble on the floor because Shane's legs were sliding out from under him while he was in a sit stay.
His reactivity is getting a little better. I felt so badly because we walked into the building very nicely and dogs just started barking at him like he exudes some pheromone. He went nuts of course, but does well with distraction.
The level of excitement wasn't as high as a show, so not sure if his success was due to that or to his maturing. We did pretty good! I'm jazzed for the real show next weekend. Here are some photos from the fun run. Frank is playing his saxophone on the soundtrack.
