Last weekend, we headed to Cleveland for an
anniversary party. Frank's sister and her husband were celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary. Shane and Woody spent the weekend at the pet resort, and appeared to have enjoyed themselves. It's always hard to leave my babies, but the greeting when we pick them up is so amazing. The tech said Woody just went nuts when she brought in his harness. He knew he was going home. This is only Shane's second time, so he was a bit clueless.
My visit to Cleveland included meeting up with an old friend from our Florida days. Laurie has opened
Canine Sports training center in Vermilion and I'm so proud of her. Jake and Woody trained with her border collie, Savannah. Just before we both left Florida, she adopted Auby, who is now full grown and fabulous. My pictures of Savannah did not come out as it's hard to photograph a black dog against black mats, but somehow these pictures of Auby are OK.

I got to run a little with Auby, and he's fast! Has a little trouble with contact obstacles, as does Shane, so I could commiserate. Auby is a natural at herding, which I doubt Shane would ever be. It was so great to see Laurie and her kids, both fur and non-fur.
Neal and Vicki's dog, Phoebe, spent the weekend at the
Barkley pet hotel to avoid all the party hustle and bustle. Absolutely amazing facility. Shane and Woody would be there for sure if we lived in Cleveland. Check out Phoebe's blog page under Family.
