Weekendus Horribilis

Man, what a lousy weekend. Saturday I went to an agility seminar on tightening your turns. I was really excited about this one! The exercises were the hardest ones that we've ever done. I did my best, but it was a shameful mess. The instructor put her hand over the wireless mike and told me that Shane needed to lose some weight. My doctor told me the same thing at my physical last week, so now we are both fat. On one of the last runs, I decided to put it all out there and go for broke. We negotiated some really tough moves and then splat. I fell flat on my face and banged up my knees pretty good. How humiliating. So we dragged our fat asses over to our seat to nurse my wounds, physical and psychological. Oh, and to top that off, I forgot to put sunscreen on my face, so now I have a slight sunburn.

Sunday, we woke to some really nasty weather. Saw piles of hail along the road. Rained all morning, so our seminar moved inside. Sun comes out, so we move outside for the afternoon. Simple exercise. Jump tunnel tunnel. Shane comes flying out of the first tunnel and lands on his face. Probably slipped on the water in the tunnel. Now he's limping. Great. Luckily Carolyn, a vet, was there to examine him and he seemed OK. We finish the day, again not doing very well. Throw Shane in the car and head home. When I took him out of the car, he starts limping again! Limps all evening. I'm just devastated.

So, decide to check up on my email and discover that my hotmail account has been disabled. I've been using this account for at least 10 years. Can this weekend get any worse?

Now it's Monday. I'm working on restoring my hotmail account, but it's not looking good. Microsoft won't help me because it was a free account, so I'm starting anew. Shane's limp is better today, but I'm keeping him quiet. Glad I took notes this weekend, because all this turmoil has destroyed my short-term memory. I know I learned a few things, but just can't recall them right now. Maybe when Shane stops limping, I'll remember them.
