I went to Urgent Care a few weeks ago and the doctor there told me my foot was broken. So for the rest of the day, I planned the next few months of inactivity. Not good with a new puppy. The next day, the radiologist called to tell me that my foot wasn't broken after all. Good news for me, but my foot was still pretty messed up.
It's been a few weeks and I'm almost back to normal. Just a little stiffness, which I'm working through. Got a show in two weeks and I'll be good to go.
During my rehab, we had floors installed. Kimi went back to the breeder and Shane and Maggie were at the Collie Cottage. Kimi had a blast playing with his brothers for a week. He got his ears redone and grew a bunch. The guys installed the floor in two days, so everyone got to come home early. I felt so bad watching them slip and slide on the new floor, but I think everyone has the hang of it now.
Kimi had been marking a section of the carpet, which was now gone. He's been a good boy so far, but has transferred his business to the upstairs, which is still carpeted. He has to wear a belly band now when we are up there watching TV. I think he has estalished his territory downstairs, so the marking has stopped there. He owns the couch and the bed.
Floors Before and After
I'm so glad I removed the dogs for this event. It was noisy and dusty. At one point they were undercutting the door frames and fireplace and the smoke alarm went off. The dogs would have gone nuts.
