Maggie Altered

It was time. I had until November 1 to spay Maggie according to the contract I signed. The vet wanted to wait until October (six months after her treatment) to test for Heart worms again.

Having been through this operation myself, I felt just terrible that she had to endure it as well. I love male dogs! Snip. Snip.

Dropped her off at the vet. She was shaking. The tech had to carry her.

Surgery went well. We picked her up in the afternoon. She had a quiet evening in her cone. Morphine, Propofol, and Valium. The Micheal Jackson cocktail.

Next day. We try our best to keep her quiet. She's eating and drinking well. No issues.

After a few days, she's jumping all over stuff again. I was three weeks on the couch! The vet said we could put her in a Tee shirt instead of her cone. I went to Walmart and bought the wrong size shirt, but she looked cute in it anyway. She never did lick her incision.
Well, we let Maggie run around too much and she developed a lump at her incision. Took her back to the vet and lied through my teeth. It apparently is a wad of fat and will go away. She is from sturdy stock this girl.
