Friday
We are off to the groomer. Played a little game on the way to keep Maggie from puking. I would randomly hand a treat back through the seats. By the time we got to the groomer, Maggie and Shane had claimed a side of the seat because I was rotating treats from left to right around the back seat barrier. Very cute.
While the dogs were at the groomer, I cleaned all the floors. The place was spotless at last.
When I picked up the dogs, it was pouring rain. Maggie did great at the groomers.
Home, towels down as they had to go outside in the rain. Ugh. Managed to keep the floors and the dogs clean despite all the rain on Friday.
Saturday
Pouring rain again. We had so much planned. Community garage sale in the morning and Paws in the Park in the afternoon. We decided to not do the garage sale and Paws in the Park was moved to another day. Took the pups out for a walk in the rain and saw others were still doing the garage sale. Darn. Back home all dry and still clean.
Not sure what happened, but the next thing I hear is Frank hollering. Maggie had tore into the house from the backyard completely covered in mud (I hoped it was mud). She rubbed herself all over the carpet and jumped onto the couch. I managed to catch her and put her into the tub to rinse off. It didn't stink, so I had to assume it was mud. Thank you!!
So the rest of my Saturday was consumed with shampooing the carpet and washing the slipcovers. Never had to do this with my prissy shelties.
Sunday
Everyone loaded up on Rescue Remedy. Quiet morning watching the Italian Grand Prix. Not quite like The Art of Racing in the Rain, as both pups slept through the entire race, but we all managed to stay clean and dry for an entire day. Yay!
