Tuesday is turning out to be one of my favorite days. Agility class with Jane in the morning. A storm was south of us, which brought us a little respite from the heat. Lots of fun practicing front crosses, which is not something I can do easily with Shane as he is so fast, but I only slipped up once. Jane always says just the right thing. Good feedback with lots of laughs. She makes me feel so comfortable.
Checking my email when I got home, I found an email response from the author of Dogged Pursuit, which is a fabulous book about agility. It's like Marley & Me for the agility crowd and the dog doesn't die! My experience twittering famous people gave me the courage to send the author an email about how much I loved the book. It hit so many notes that were familiar to me and I just laughed and laughed. Never expected a response and now his dog is following me on Twitter!
Tuesday evening we went to our first Level 3 behavior class and we had a ball. Shane isn't the most reactive dog in the class, which made me feel so good. We did very well and played lots of games. Laughed and laughed. We learned what to do in a thunderstorm and during fireworks, so perhaps this will be the first July 4th in 10 years that I won't be spending on the sofa covered in Shelties.
Can't wait for next Tuesday!
