My Funny Valentine

Friends of mine spent St. Valentine's Day in Las Vegas while I froze in a livestock barn in freakin' McGregor Texas. Who's living their best life now Oprah?

Shane and I drove up to the show on Friday afternoon. Beautiful day. Lovely temperature. Our first run was Novice Hoopers and we got a qualifying 1st place run. Next was Novice Touch and Go and we missed our contacts again. Better luck tomorrow.

Something happened overnight and now it is freezing. I put on everything I brought and it still wasn't enough. Froze all day. Starbucks donated coffee for the show, which helped a little. Novice Chances - knocked bars. Got the bonus though. Novice Jumpers - knocked bars. Novice weavers - qualifying 2nd place run. Novice Regular 1 - missed dog walk contact and knocked a bar. Novice Regular 2 - got the dog walk contact and knocked several bars. Final run was Novice Tunnelers - qualifying 3rd place run even though we screwed up a few times. New title TN-N.

Glad I did just one full day. We weren't finished until 7:30 pm. Way too much agility for me. We worked on our reactivity, which was quite a challenge with all the barking dogs there. Shane ran off a few times after runs, so I need to figure out how to manage that. I have one more NADAC show this spring to work on Shane's contacts some more.
