Woody

Monday I took Woody to the vet because his appetite was waning. The vet said his liver seemed swollen, which didn't surprise me much because he's had liver issues for quite some time. Woody got a shot for nausea and a vial of Pepcid. For the last few days, Woody has been picky with his food, only eating turkey, eggs, cheese, and chicken. I tried various dog foods but he wasn't interested.

Yesterday, I called the vet about Woody's sneezing and was told to try Benadryl. Woody's eyes looked funny and he kept rubbing his snout. I remembered that last year our Christmas photo was ruined because Woody sneezed. Maybe he's allergic to something this time of year? The Benadryl made him even more lethargic.

Today, I called the vet again. I discovered vomit in the hallway and lots of diarrhea in the backyard. Long story short, Woody may have either a tumor in his liver or his spleen. I'm taking him into the vet tomorrow for another ultrasound. We are not going to put him through surgery. I hope there is someway to keep him comfortable through Christmas.
