NOT.
At class Thursday, Shane crashed into the triple and landed badly. He sat there holding up his paw. I felt terrible. Why had I even tried to get him over that thing? He was limping badly so we left. On the way home, I called the vet and she was out of the office. Made an appointment for Friday afternoon.
Shane spent the rest of the day and night in his crate resting. I carried him out to the yard to potty. He wouldn't put any weight on his leg. After he was done, he just stood there waiting for me to carry him back. I spent the day and night beating myself over the head. I checked his leg over and over again looking for a break, but couldn't find one.
This morning, Shane started barking in his crate. That's always a good sign. I carried him out to potty and he walked! A bit of a limp there, but it's much better. I decided to leave him out of his crate unless he starts going nuts. Came out of my office and there he stands with his Frisbee in his mouth. I don't think so Shane.
I'm sure the doc will tell me to stay away from agility for a bit. After that rest period, we are going to work on learning how to jump properly.
