Our first show in about a month. Drove down Friday afternoon for two runs. First was Starter's Pairs and we got 1st place and a Q. Also, finished our SR title! Great way to start back! Next was Starter's Standard, and we had all our usual problems. Jumping off obstacles and now we have a table issue. Shane won't get on it and if he does, won't go down. I could tell he was stressing. The good news is that we are able to walk around the show arena now! He's definitely improving.
Saturday started out great too. 1st and Q in Advanced Gamblers. I was sweating the gamble because it looked impossible. Perhaps I just gave up and didn't show any stress, and Shane nailed it. I couldn't believe it. The rest of the day was down hill from there. Starters Standard. Same. Same. Starters Snooker. Dropped two of the red bars. We didn't get enough points.

Sunday. First run was Starters Pairs. Got our title Friday, so I didn't much care. Our partner was too slow and we went over time. As I was holding Shane in the ring, I noticed an odor. Ran our half. As I was putting his leash on, I smelled it again. Turned him around and there in his coat is a piece of poop right where I was holding him. Man. I got him back to the crate and cleaned him up. Still smelled it. It's on my jacket sleeve!! Jacket is black so I can't tell how much poop is on me. I want to die. Take off my jacket and practically take a bath with handiwipes. It's freezing and now I have no jacket and all I want to do is go home and take a shower. Next run is Starters Standard and same same. I can't wait until the NADAC show this weekend to work on his ring stress.
Last run of the day was Starters Jumpers. Blew the first jump but the rest of the run was great. I just love running this fast dog. Celebrating at the end and the judge comes up to tell me that the timer didn't start. I didn't Q anyway so I passed on running it again. I would have liked to see the time because it was good, but oh well. I feel good about what we accomplished. Shane seems much better about the crowd and the noise. Need to work on the ring stress next. I would like to have a start line at some point.
