Can't really count the evening though. We had a bit of an accident. I was trying to get Shane to wait for me to open the gate to the field. He just goes nuts clawing at the gate, and this time got his foot caught between the wood doors. He let out such a squeal. I rubbed his foot and all felt OK. He did wait for me to open the door this time. We'll see if it sticks.
Later that evening, McDuff nosed him and sent him rolling across the field just like the hedgehogs in Alice in Wonderland when they were playing croquet. So Shane was a bit more subdued than usual. Maybe he got taken down a notch.
I also started reading "Control Unleashed" and Shane is described perfectly, so I'm hoping to apply some of the techniques to calm him down at shows.
