Headed up to Dallas once again. It's really hard having one dog in Excellent and one in Novice. We are in the first class and last class of each day, which makes for a really long day.
Woody's STD run in the early morning was great! He seems to be getting over his chute issues. He came out and looked at the fabric, but I was able to get him going. We just made time, and because he was the only 12" EX A P dog, we got a blue ribbon! In jumpers, he was just too slow. On Sunday, we repeated the performances. Now we are one leg from getting his AXJP and AXP. I wish Woody enjoyed getting his picture taken....

Now on to Shane. His two jumpers runs this weekend were phenomenal, both under 25 seconds. Unfortunately, we knocked a bar in both runs. In STD, we are still a mess. The first run had a really hard opening and Shane went right into the distracting chute. There was another sharp turn out of the weaves that we blew as well. Two wrong courses, but he was fast and did the two obstacles I was worried about. On Sunday, he jumped off the teeter again, and slid off the other side of the table, and refused a jump because I pulled away too soon. He was fast though! Someone commented on his amazing weave entry.
I am learning not to get too close to him when we run. It's just such a thrill to run him in jumpers. It's all over before I even take a breath.
